TIP
TIP© (The International Profiler) is an instrument for self-assessment and helps executives and co-workers to recognize what they typically focus on when working in an international context. The TIP© also helps to identify possible developmental needs and contains suggestions for concrete action steps.
How does it work?
The International Profiler© is a standardized psychometric questionnaire developed by WorldWork (www.worldwork.biz). Based on current research, the following key competences which help people to work successfully in international contexts have been identified:
- Openness
- Flexibility
- Personal Autonomy
- Emotional Strength
- Perceptiveness
- Listening Orientation
- Transparency
- Cultural Knowledge
- Influencing
- Synergy
These 10 key competencies comprise 22 concrete behavioural dimensions on which we are happy to provide you with further information if you are interested.
What are the benefits?
Employees receive a structured feedback regarding their work in an international context. They become aware of how they are perceived by others and of the impact this has on how effective and successful their work is. People who can benefit from the International Profiler© above all are:
- managers working in or leading international teams
- managers preparing for a longer-term assignment abroad
- co-workers working in a multicultural work environment
The TIP©-application typically follows these steps:
- The employee fills in the questionnaire online.
- They receive the feedback on their results in an individual consultation or as part of a group training.
- The feedback can only be given by licensed trainers/coaches.
- The employee connects the results of their TIP©-profile with their real work situation and the current or future challenges of the international context.
- They can draw consequences immediately and with the help of a personal development plan decide which competences they want to give more weight in the future in order to manage their work effectively.
- For a successful implementation of the developmental plan the employee can agree on further individual coaching sessions with their consultant or trainer.
